Clear Petroleum starts its operation at Las Heras – Cañadón Escondida
Clear Petroleum began Las Heras – Cañadón Escondida concession block operation last Monday – December 1. This way the company consolidates its position in Santa Cruz Province and restates its commitment to local development.
Last December 1 and 2, onboarding days were held to welcome over 80 members that are already part of the team at Unidad de Negocio Clear Upstream. The first stage was about onboarding of new staff members and, the second day, at Las Heras Cultural Center, the whole work team got together to share goals and a cross-departmental action plan.
Company chairpeople highlighted the fact that, in order to achieve these goals integrity work is crucial – applying high standards of operating excellency and safety. Ezequiel Gonzalez, People & Culture Department Director, commented on the company history for over 30 years in the industrial area and Clear activity at a national level counting on 9 services lines and the company operation at conventional and unconventional wells.
Besides that, Gabriel Conte, Environment and Safety Manager, explained safety culture, mandatory policies and rules applied in every operation.
Some other members who joined the onboarding days were: Ricardo Becerra, Security Manager and Florencia Tosi, Occupational Health Head who enlarged on information and the scope of each area.
Leonardo Deccechis, Clear Upstream Business Director, highlighted the importance of keeping on broadening opportunities within the province: ‘these wells have witnessed working decades which triggered the growth of Santa Cruz Province and shaped generations of workers. Our objectives are: to prioritize sustainable production, be ready to face new challenges through the use of technology and improve on operational times.’
In addition, he reinforced the idea that ‘Clear sustains an unnegotiable conviction: reinstate the dormant wells to the highest standard’ and emphasize the commitment of the company to safety and professional growth: ‘our intention is for each person who starts working at Clear to feel it as an environment where safety, permanent training and responsible work are landmarks. We are really proud to keep on building a solid team ready to face the challenges of the area.’
Some other members of the Clear team emphasized – deeply moved – the importance of the crucial moment for the company and the industry, where respect and pride continue doubling down on the development of the basin.
Among those people, Sergio Martel, responsible for Operations & Maintenance of the deposits, is joining Clear Upstream enthusiastically and added: ‘we are committed to this opportunity, Clear is a company with an extensive track record and expertise in the basin and also mature fields. As a team we will keep on working focusing on efficiency and productivity in order to reach sustainable growth in our activities.’
The start-up of Upstream operation represents another step in the steady growth of Clear Petroleum in Santa Cruz, aligned with the purpose of creating value, promoting local jobs and cooperating with the energy development of the country.
